# Port Activity Monitoring

This data set contains near real-time metrics regarding vessel and container movement at a port. Vessel volumes and time spent in different states at a port are the core metrics and allow you to gain insights such as the number of vessels currently at berth at a terminal and how long those vessels have been at berth on average. Container import dwell times are also included and averaged from recent history to give the user a sense of how long import containers are dwelling.
